...This was our first visit to India and we were apprehensive, especially after reading about the 'culture shock' and the bureaucracy of the airport. Needless to say we experienced both! But, it only took us a couple of days to settle in and we had a fantastic holiday. All in all, we found Goa to be a wonderful charming place.
The food is delicous and Baga has some fantastic restaurants with menus to suit all tastes. If you came to Baga on an all inclusive holiday you would be missing out. Our favourites were Lucky Star Shack at the bottom of Tito's Lane whose BBQ night is a must, The Ritz Shack in Calangute/Candolim, Fiesta Restaurant on Tito's Lane, Cavala, East Meets West, Kim Faa Chinese and The Hot Plate on CSM Lane. All great food and service at unbelievably cheap prices.

Advantages: Lovely staff, 2 swimming pools, free gym, great evening food and close to both shops and beach. Disadvantages: Basic furniture, noisy air-conditioning units, poor breakfasts and quite busy area.

Whistler – Blackcombe is a ski resort situated about two hours bus journey north of Vancouver in Canada and is quite simply the most incredible ski resort I’ve ever had the fortune of skiing in. Before I begin to wax lyrically about its virtues a little background on myself as regards skiing. I’ve been skiing now for about 15 years having started at the tender age of 7 and until travelling to Whistler I’ve only ever-skied in Europe. In this time I’ve been all over Europe in all the major skiing countries as well as the less well known Andorra, Bulgaria, Finland and Sweden. I say all this not in an attempt to show off but to show that I think I have the credentials to comment on ski resorts.
I actually went to Whistler for two weeks in Easter ‘99 to visit my brother who...

We've just come back from a week at this hotel, and I must say it was very disappointing.
The rooms were very basic, although they were well cleaned, and in good condition (we were staying in the second block at the back, which I think is relatively... more
