Anyone who has already visited any part of Turkey will know that the friendliness of the locals can not be beaten. Cavus Bay, or Adrasan however, wins the lot! At first all there appears to be is a beach, a dusty road and a line of hotels and restaurants all penned in by mountains on every side. The perfect holiday for chilling out, but not really for the "18-30" brigade. Eating out is an experience, our favourite haunts were The Mithat, Paradise, Arikinda and Margarite. 3 courses with wine costs on average £10 each, but we were given so many extra "presents", eg mezes, coffee or tea and fruit salad, that often 3 courses turns into 5 or 6! Then most nights an impromptu Turkish dancing evening develops. The English people that I met there had visited Cavus over and over again, one couple had been going twice a year for the last 15 years! I think that says it all. There is something about the place that gets you hooked and, although we were the "virgins" on our first visit, it certainly will not be our last! When you get bored of lying on the beach all day, there are many other (hidden) attractions. Boat trips, Lycian Way walks, horse riding, camel riding, white water rafting, trips to local markets, a leisure centre with hamam (turkish bath) are all available. At night, you can see the stars, galaxy and even some satellites really clearly. My personal reason for this is because in Cavus Bay, I am that bit closer to heaven!

I went to Turkey two weeks ago to Beldibi (near Antalya) and it was lovely. Everyone was so friendly it was unbelievable, they make the Brits look really ignorant and unpleasant! x
