Should you decide you need the most relaxing holiday ever, then you should consider visiting Cavus bay(a.k.a.Adrasan)in the region of Antalya,in Turkey. To anyone who has previously visited Turkey, you will be used to the pace of life here, and also the friendliness of the locals. However,in Cavus, the pace is halved, and the friendliness is doubled. There is only one street in Cavus which is in fact,a dirt track dividing the beach and most of the hotels. The beach is about one mile long, and frankly is a little disappointing, being a mixture of coarse sand and pebbles. To the rear of the beach are the hotels and restaurants. The hotels are generally small and family run, although there are a couple of larger accommodations. The restaurants are of a surprisingly good quality;our favourites being the"Mithat"and the "Deniz". If you don't mind a hot walk of around 25 minutes,Cavus has a hidden gem. At the far end of the beach a tiny stream flows into the sea;strung along the banks of the stream are around half a dozen restaurants that have platforms extending right into the stream, where you can enjoy an inexpensive meal and a cooling drink amongst really tranquil surroundings whilst feeding the ducks and fish!Absolutely lovely. Overall,Cavus is best suited to people who are not looking for sophistication or 5 star services. But for anyone seeking a couple of weeks lazing around in the sun,Cavus could be just the resort you are looking for.
