Advantages: Close to M62. Wide range of facilities. Disadvantages: Robotic staff, boring rooms. Testosterone fueled bar.
Work can require me to visit the lovely world of West Yorkshire from time to time and the closest hotel to my office, happens to be the CedarCourt Huddersfield. I have stayed there once but wouldn?t rush back. The only thing going for it in my opinion is the closeness to the M62 and the cheap corporate rate!
Arrival
The hotel is situated just off the M62 at Ainley Top making it handy for the local road links. There is an abundance of on-site car parking which is free for residents and at night there is a security guard outside throughout the darker hours to help keep your car safe.
Check In
Check in was straightforward if a little robotic. We were processed through, credit cards swiped and then given the key to our rooms. This key was extremely retro and of a large size making it difficult to keep in your pocket and felt more like you ...
Advantages: cheap, good food, nice staff Disadvantages: bit grotty
cedarcourthotel is one of the only hotels in huddersfield. it is about half an hour out of the town centre, with really good access to the motorway. pretty close to brighouse, huddersfield and easy to get to leeds and along that way too.
it has wireless internet, reasonable prices with regards to rooms, pretty good food, especially the breakfast and is ideal for anyone on business trips.
the bar prices are expensive, but not compared to otherhotels, so its as you would expect really.
the rooms and lobby etc, can look a bit grotty sometimes, and the hotel does need refurbishing (it hasnt been done for years!) but if all you need is somewhere convenient with decent rooms and nice food, then its perfect! ...
Advantages: near to the motorway , the facilities, 10 minutes drive to the city centre of huddersfield, Disadvantages: none
my experience at the cedarcourthotel is that the facilities was excellent and the room we had was spaciious and very enviting i felt like the packages they put on like at christmas for new year was excellent a dinner and dance and staying at the hotel was good since we didnt have to drive . but our meals we have had have alaways been good.
the cedarcourt is within east reach of the motorway, the major cities are leeds and manchester that the hotel is near there is also 250 free car park spaces.this is at junction 24 very easy to get to.
