Advantages: Great views of River Liffey and spa baths in executive rooms, fabulous restaurant, great location Disadvantages: no fitness facilities, few more towels in bathroom would be nice
...My husband first took me to Dublin for Valentines Day in 2001 and we've been back every year since. We love the place and always seem to be able to find new places to stay, dine and visit. Our stay in the Eliza Lodge was during our 2003 visit to Dublin and it was certainly one of the best.
The Eliza Lodge is described as a luxury guesthouse at the foot of the Milennium Bridge. This is a fairly accurate description of the place, although I would argue that there are a few more luxury places to stay including The Morgan, but that's for another review. The accomodation consisting of 18 guest rooms is situated above the Eliza Blues restaurant which serves absolutely superb food and employs friendly and efficient staff. You can book a table in the restaurant via a direct phone line from your room, which I would definitely recommend...

Advantages: good breakfast Disadvantages: a bit pokey
...This is a review of Charleville Lodgeguesthouse in Dublin, Ireland. It has 3 star rating for a guesthouse.
I have just visited Dublin for a 3 day weekend and stayed in the above accomodation for 3 nights as well.
The guesthouse is located on North Circular Road which is in Phibsborough area of Dublin. The distance from the airport is about 15-20 minutes by taxi ( about 20 Euros exluding the tip). The area is not the most attractive although it has couple of places to eat, some shops and some dubious looking pubs.
There is also a petrol station near should you urgently require a bar of chocolate. A great place to get some takeaway if you are hungry after a day of dragging your feet around town is Abrakebabra which not only does good kebabs ( my husband was impressed with his ) but also does burgers and quite nice chips...

Advantages: Very cheap, very friendly, excellent breakfast, quirky Disadvantages: Bathroom
...Situated on Lower Gardiner Street, Abbott Lodge is the ideal base from which to launch a short, cheap break in Dublin.
Officially rated as a two-star affair, Abbott Lodge boasts many facilities one would expect from a more expensive establishment within the confines of a converted "Georgian" building.
My wife and I have just returned from a very short break in Dublin, and we chose Abbott Lodge due to its close proximity to the Central Bus Station and relative adjacency to the other sights in Dublin. Because the Bus Station (or Busaras as it is known locally) is nearby, travellers can catch the Airport Express from Dublin International to within one block of the hotel for the princely sum of 5 euros each or to O'Connell Street (one of Dublin's main streets on the North bank) for 1.75 euros each.
Another important consideration...
