The check in process is aweful on Fridays, it takes us 90 minutes to drive there, and 90mmins to get in at peak times, even off peak we've waited 40 minutes in the queue, on line registration does speed you through but doesn't cut the queues down. I've stopped here 3 times, the facilities and staff are usually good, some lodges are better than others, the ones on heather glade and badger wood are good in that they're close to the swim dome, but they are very creaky and noisy, which makes it hard settling kids down. the stairs and upper floors are particularly bad, and because of the terrace design the neighbours going up or down stairs will have you thinking the kids are up. My favourite so far was Fell View (low numbers) which are slightly further out, but equi-distant from the swim dome and the sports centre. Use the online booking service (free) to book some ativities in advance, otherwise you may be dissapointed. The market is fairly priced for an on site shop, but keep an eye on its hours as its easy to get caught out. the welcome packs aren't that good value, just go prepared or buy what you want form the shop. Centerparcs are advertising free wifi in public areas, I found excellent coverage in my villa and it was an excellent service. There is now an on site fast food take away/delivery service, the prices look typical fast food (expensive) and there is a hefty delivery charge (£3.50 i think). there were no kiddy options on the take out/delivery menu, and I'm told the food is not as good a quality as in the on site restuarants. If your going to be out after dark take a torch, and we find licence free walkie talkies invaluable also
