The Groot(big) Karoo is the larger version of the little karoo just on the other side of the SwartBerge(mountains) that devides the two Karoos.
The Central Karoo is also a dry warm place. Atractions here are Sutherland, where the biggest telescope in southern hemisphere is located. Also Sutherland is the coldest place in South Africa during winter. You can go and taste olives in the beautiful town Prins Albert thats located at the foot of the swartberge. There a lot of other small and old towns to vist.The central karoo is also famous for all the big sheepfarmers there. Some of them has as many as 10000 sheep. Thats a lot. The place has a something to it, I can'yt descibe it but my expierence is that when you've visited it something of you stay behind.
