...-sit in the district of North Bronx, in a small quarter full of synagogues, nice houses, secondary schools and lorries and vans of ice-cream sellers. When I told the friend who found the job I wasn’t Jewish, she answered in their usual way that nobody was perfect, and explained to me the basics of Kosher (really fascinating, including dividing the cutlery in three parts, for meat, fish and milk products, among other things).
The family was very friendly, both born Americans, Orthodox Jewish, believers and synagogue goers. I stayed with two-year old Benjamin or went for a walk with the baby (it’s easy to forget the name of someone you never talk to!).
When my workday was over I went to the city centre, which was quite far away from where I stayed (that was in another part of North Bronx). I took the metro. You can imagine what New York metro looks like...

...New York can be a scary place if you don't know what you are doing...
New York is probably most famous for its sky line buildings and the statue of Libety.
New York is also the setting for the very popular t.v fit series F.R.I.E.N.D.S...
I've only been to New York once and I loved it... it's great for shopping and stuff.
I went to Central Park, it was ok, not what I expected though...
Still I like NewYork, and if you are in America you should visit NewYork...
But people always told me to stay away from alleys and stuff, just incase!...

Advantages: many stores and attactions Disadvantages: confusing
...New York is a city of business. But it's also a city of tourism and
culture with it's great museums and attractions. Everybody should go
tere and try out the New York subway. The amount of different people
and places are amazing. Central park is a must. They have the cleanest
park I have ever seen and have these floral arrangements that are
fabulous. But you can't forget about shopping, it's just too hard, there's too many stores to choose from. Overall, New York city
is fantastic to visit but personnally, I find it too confusing to live
in....
