Rafaello. It is located in central Florence's San Lorenzo district, 200 metres from thecity's cathedral and five kilometres from the airport. Hotel Features. The hotel building retains many features of its Renaissance past but is fully modernised. Guests can start the day in the bright breakfast room, and practical amenities include a multilingual concierge, room service and a front desk with a safe deposit box. Hotel Centro offers guests a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning. Guestrooms. The hotel has 16 guestrooms spread across two floors, which have simple, light decor with original paintings and cherry wood furnishings. All include televisions, safes and clock radios. Bathrooms are shared for certain room types and all have shower units and hair dryers. Expert Tip. A symbol of the Renaissance for which the city is famed, the Medici Palace was founded at the behest of one of the period's most prestigious families, from whom the palace takes its name. Although originally an austere structure, the palace shows more lavish touches added through the centuries.

The hotel itself is based upstairs over a supermarket which closes at around 10 at night and is down a quieter back street therefore it is a reasonably quiet street, meaning you get a good nights sleep.
On arrival you have to buzz in, so a receptionist, who are on 24 hours, can let you into the building. You go upstairs to the small reception desk. The 3 different receptionists that were on were all very pleasant and spoke both Italien and English which made checking in a very easy process. This took a couple of minutes and then i was directed to my room.
The room was a large room, with very high ceilings and 2 single beds. The room came with a tv which had both english and italien programmes, and an en suite, which consisted of a shower, toilet and sink. The room was very clean and was cleaned every day. There was a large window looking out onto the street below and passing tourists also.
The breakfast was served in a very small room and there wasn't the biggest selection but with a supermarket beneath that wasn't too much of an issue.
The location was a major factor in picking this hotel as it is very close to the train station which saves a long walk or taxi to find your hotel. No further than 200 metres away. It is also in close proximity to the main attractions in Florence such as the Duomo and the statue of David. The river is also only a 5 minute walk from the hotel and every main attraction is no further than a 10 minute walk away, meaning you can take in the beautiful city very easily.
This is definately a city i would recommend and also a hotel i would recommend. I had no problems there at all during my weekend break and would doubt anyone else would have if they book with this establishment.
Very nice people, nice room, cheap rate and an overall nice stay
