Advantages: Spectacular Air Fete Disadvantages: Not Much To Do
...The town of Mildenhall is located in the county of Suffolk, East Anglia. Its location is approximately 10 miles NE from Newmarket (famous for its horseracing) and 13 miles NW of Cambridge. Mildenhall is probably most famous for its annual Air Fete at the RAF base which takes place on the last weekend in May. The Air Show is run by the U.S Airforce, and is the biggest military display in the world. Mildenhall is also known for the unique hoard of 4th Century Roman silver tableware which was found in 1942. 'The Mildenhall Treasure' is now displayed in the British Museum. I would say that this place is a nice village with lots of good, peaceful riverside walks to explore. You can also visit the town which holds a weekly market every Friday, and the home of the tallest steeple in Suffolk, St. Mary's Church....

Advantages: go back in time, the river boats Disadvantages: loads of people!
...Ever wonder how medieval cities looked like? Then visit Brugges! It is somehow amazing that a city such as Brugges has managed to maintain its wonderful buildings and old-street layout. As soon as you immerse in the city centre, you can easily picture yourself in exactly the same place several centuries ago. It truly seems as it nothing has changed. The churches, river-side houses, large buildings, it's all there (and not in ruins!). One of the must-do activities is a trip in a river boat! There views are beatiful and the guides do enlighten the trip with very interesting historical-bizz. One tip, get as far as possible from the boat's engine! Otherwise you won't be able to listen the guide or enjoy the trip. One less turistic, but equaly enjoyable visit is to the wind mills. Unfortunately, they are rather far from the city center...

Since this time, the city has gone from strength to strength. Breweries and maltings sprung up in the 18th century, and large companies like Norwich Union were set up.
FACILITIES
Norwich is home to an excellent range of shops. Much of the shopping area is completely pedestrianised, but St. Stephens is more like a typical high street, with names such as BHS and Marks & Spensers. The Castle Mall shopping centre is fairly new. It boasts everything from Virgin and Argos, to Boots and smaller boutiques. In recent years, Norwich has also seen the redevelopment of the Riverside area. This is now home to a whole host of retailers, including Morrisons, BigW, Argos and Boots, to name but a few...
