Donta go a pasta Verde's !!

Advantages: Fantastic atmosphere and friendly staff
Disadvantages: You want to go back - again and again and again......

Verdes Ristorante and Pizzeria LANCASTER Writing a restaurant review is very difficult. Different people look for different things in a restaurant. As far as I am concerned what I look for is a good atmosphere, a good menu selection, good value for money, friendly and helpful staff, but mainly it needs to be a restaurant that I want to visit again, and again. This is certainly the case with Verdes Ristorante and Pizzeria which has been a popular family run restaurant in Lancaster for many years. The restaurant is situated in the centre of town in Church Street, it's open seven days a week from 11.30am to 10.30pm for meals or just a tea or coffee. Verdi's is a traditional Italian eatery that uses fresh quality ingredients and uses only De Ceccio pasta. De Ceccio is one of the best pastas ...

São Salvador da Baía de Todos os Santos

Advantages: Nicely restored tourist friendly old town
Disadvantages: The ladies hunt in packs

Salvador, in the state of Bahia, north east Brazil (or São Salvador da Baía de Todos os Santos as it was named in the past) was the first colonial capital city of Brazil and, although power shifted to Rio de Janeiro in the late eighteenth century, then to Brasilia in 1960, it retains much of it's past grandeur and colonial architecture. One of the main reasons to come here, however, is the wonderful mix of cultural influences that make the cuisine, music and lifestyle here so different even to other parts of Brazil. The population of over three million, consists mainly of people with African origins descended from slaves, although there have been many other strong influences through Salvador's history. Salvador is also famous for it's carnival and street parties. The final stop on my extensive two-week tour of Brazil was to Salvador ...

Hotel Monte Verde

Advantages: Very Clean
Disadvantages: Awful Food, Noisy, Far way from Palma Airport

In October 2006 I went on an all-inclusive holiday for one week to Porto Cristo on the east coast of Majorca (Mallorca). I stayed in a hotel called the Monte Verde. It cost me £169 and I will now share my experiences of this hotel with you. The Monte Verde Hotel was built in 1969 and was fully refurbished during the winter of 2000. The Monte Verde has a total of 140 rooms that are built over 7 floors. When I pulled up to The Monte Verde I was not very impressed with the look of the hotel, it looked like a block of flats and was similar to some of the housing around Porto Cristo, which looked a bit basic and old fashioned. However The Monte Verde is only a 2 star hotel so I was not expecting too much. Upon arriving inside at around midnight Majorcan time (+1 hour GMT), I was surprised to find nobody at the 24-hour front desk. I ...
