Isra Eco Chalet was amazing, a truly luxury accomodation. The ski terrain is great for all levels of skier, and the chalet was perfect for our family. With cinema screen and spa, lovely bedrooms and easy access to ski areas, this was the best ski holiday we have ever had!
The surrounding area is absolutely stunning also, and as the chalet is in a nice place the views are all right out your window :)
The local amenities were also great with a lovely restaurant for when we could not be bothered to cook for ourselves ! They also offer to provide you with food on arrival to avoid having to trawl to the local supermarche, which is a really nice touch.
We highly recommend this chalet to anyone wanting a unique ski trip in a beautiful location, we'll be back asap! ...

My wife and I stayed with some friends at Chalet Isis in the Chalets de l'Altiport area of Alpe D'Huez 1850 in March 08. We booked through skialacarte. The altiport chalets are all pretty new and are in a gated community situated over the road from the small airport, and about 600 metres from the Les Bergers part of Alpe D'Huez, with the main town a few hundred metres further away. Access was via Grenoble International Airport St Geoirs - 99 kms away and the private transfer by the chalet staff took 1 hour 25 minutes.
The chalet sleeps 16 and the rest of the rooms were occupied by other guests. Each room had private ensuite facilities apart from one of the rooms on the ground floor which had a shower and WC room which was also the facility for people using the sauna. Nobody using the sauna ever used this room as far as we could see ...
Advantages: Activies and fun for all ages and tastes! Disadvantages: When rounded up, it can be quite pricey!

There are so many activities at Le Domaines Les Pailles that we barely knew where to start! There is a large, luxurious casino, complete with parking lot and gazebo. Everything about that casino invites you in (so be careful with your budget!). It really has a warm and welcoming décor and what I particularly liked was the fact that it was not just another vulgar club full of perverts or hardcore gamblers and perverts- this casino was one posh place! I liked the contrast inside: While the décor is done in classic and rich colors of gold and green, the music is quite contemporary. In fact, when I first stepped in, I was expecting a more antique, classic environment. Like all other Casinos, it has the usual fruit machines and poker tables, among the other games.
