I would not go as far as to say that this would be a must-see place. Coming from Singapore, I can tell you off the cuff that Changi Village is the place to go to for some transexual activity. These are not really gays, they are more accurately speaking transexuals. Anyway, other than that... Changi does hold a nice spot in the day or night for soem time on the beaches. People go there on weekends with their families as well to the beach near the village for some camping or fishing. Transexuals hang out at the dead of night around the village waiting to get picked up for the night for a certain fee I guess, so your children will be safe from them. In fact, children won't be able to tell if they are transexuals and will most probably think they were females. Changi is good for some - adventure - like sports : canoeing, water skiing, wake boarding and the works so it really is up to you to decide if its worth the day trip.
