We contacted the hotel before hand to arrange a free shuttle bus service provided by the hotel to pick us up, which was there on time and well serviced. During the short 20 mins drive to the hotel the driver advised us about all the things that were able to us and even took a short detour to show us where things were located so we felt comfterable straight away.
Check in process was smooth and easy, and the first glances of the hotel did not dissapoint. The hotel is set in its own mantained gardens, including rose, vegeatable, indegious and many more which made it look very scenic. The rooms were big and clean, and the all important mattress was extemly comfortable. The bathroom was of a good size and had all the mod cons you can expect including a heated mirror.
The staff were extemly helpful, in both queries and tips and it made the stay in christchurch extra speacil. The decor of the hotel did look a little dated but the warm atmosphere by the numerous fireplaces and welcoming staff did not make this an issue!
The dining area was spacias with big tables which were more then big enough to hold all the variety of food that is available, it was also priced quite fairly so you can enjoy it knowing that theres still plenty of cash to go out and about with. The bar area was seperated into 3 diffrent rooms, each with individual character overlooking a large pond so again there was great scenery.
The hotel was safe and secure and the facilities were second to none, with free day passes to a local gym with sauna etc. Free pass and hire of golf equipment to name a few. So when the weather looked a little bleak there was always something to do!
The free shuttle bus takes you to the city and you can arrange a pick up as well, so your close enough to the city only a short 5 min drive away but your in more peaceful place.
A good place to stay for both buisness and leasure purposes!

The hotel is a secluded retreat in the sparkling city of Christchurch. Although just ... more
