There is a smell of antiquity in the building, but it is pretty and well cared for. It is pristine and elegant and not pretentious. The pool is fabulous and the orangery is so lovely. There are horses and a beautiful rising mist over their field in the early morning is to die for and makes you feel like you are looking at some kind of fantasy. A relaxing, interesting and ambient break. The bathrooms are clean and there is a good choice of rooms, even the most basic being calming and pleasing.The building was dramatic and spectacular from the outside and has a kind of dolls house feel.
