Present Day A considerable amount of land in Chester is owned by Duke of Westminster who owns an estate - Eaton Hall - near the village of Eccleston. Grosvenor is the Duke's family name, which explains such features in the City such as the Grosvenor Bridge, the Grosvenor Hotel, and Grosvenor Park. Much of Chester's architecture dates from the Victorian era, with many of the buildings modelled on the Jacobean half timbered style of the medieval times being designed by John Douglas, who was employed by the Duke as his principal architect. Laser Quest - great for kids parties
Plane Flights - just outside the city is a place where you can learn to fly, great place but slightly expensive.
The North GateArena is the local sports centre. It has all the usual facilities you would expect to find such as swimming pool, gym, squash courts etc. This also has a computer fair, something like every two months.
Chester Fc, may not be a premiership team, bout the tickets are cheap, and games are worth watching.

Advantages: Near City Centre, Good value for money, River view Disadvantages: On a busy road
...The Riverside CourtHotel is situated just outside Sheffield City Centre within a few minutes walk of the main markets and one of the main Shopping areas of the City.
It occupies a prominent position on the corner of Nursery Street, where it meets the Wicker. Historically the Wicker is an area of the City that was once a thriving part of Sheffield with lots of Shops and Businesses. Today it is rather run down, although improvements are currently underway, and most of the businesses in this area are now take aways and other fast food outlets.
The Riverside CourtHotel actually occupies quite an enviable location at the top end of the Wicker. It sits on Lady's Bridge next to the Exchange Brewery Works with views overlooking the River Don and the new Apartment Blocks on the opposite banks of this River. Lady's Bridge was built...
