Advantages: Great beaches, nightlife and shopping Disadvantages: it can be expensive
. We flew into Miami International Airport, one of the busiest in the world. Taxis are probably the easiest way of getting from A to B quickly. It took us around 10-15 minutes from the airport to the hotel on South beach (around $20-$30/ £15-£25). The port was only 5-10 minutes by taxi. Alternatively, you can opt for the metro bus. It runs from Miami Beach to west Miami-Dade and from the Middle Keys to the southern portion of Broward County. All buses are wheelchair accessible. There are over 900 buses, 94 Metro bus routes, several of which operate 24 hours a day.

Two words; healthy and expensive. Having stayed in Florida many times before, I was expecting the food to be pleasant and cheap, as we had found around the Disney area. However, it was very hard to come across a restaurant that did breakfast for less ...

Miami Ink, if you haven't heard about it already, is a TV show about a tattoo parlour in Miami (if you hadn't already guessed!).
The series began in July 2005, introducing four eager tattooists, Ami James, Chris Nunez, Chris Garver and Darren Brass, as well as Ami's apprentice, Yoji Harada. Throughout the episodes new tattooists enter and go, the most famous probably being Kat Von D who turned the studio around with her beautiful portrait tattoos.
Each show lasts about an hour long, and during that time we see a variety of clients enter the studio to get their tattoos.
The guys who run/work in the studio are all fairly young, heavily tattooed and have been through different walks of life. Most of them have spent their lives tattooing, so working in the shop you can tell means a lot to them. Each artist has a different personality ...
before, yet it sounded incredibly authentic, even though I have never heard a real bullet - if that makes any sense!
I don't know how well the two leads stepped into the sandals of Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas, but Jamie Foxx may want to ensure that he has a more central role in Miami Vice 2. Foxx may have been excellent in the role, but he was over-shadowed by Mr Bleached Moustache, a.k.a. Colin Farrell. He was the star of the film and this fact is effectively sealed when he takes Isabella to Cuba for mojitos in a MTI 39' foot powerboat, which was one of my favourite parts of the movie.
The question I have to ask myself is: Did the movie make me want to watch the original series? The answer is no, but I would watch Miami Vice 2. Until then, well, I will just have to count the days to the release of the next TV series to undergo ...
