five star Restaurant

Advantages: well presented Food, and so on
Disadvantages: five star prices

chez gerard St John's Wood The Restaurant is part of the chez gerard group that has a high reputation in fine dining. It has been around for around twenty odd years and upon a day in July I visited this Restaurant. getting There I fancied going out on a hot summers day in London in July, and it took me around forty minutes getting there on the Metropolitan tube line. The Restaurant itself is a short walk away from the Train Station. The Restaurant is located in a reasonably quiet shopping road. During my visit there was a boots the chemist shop located opposite the Restaurant and a rival Restaurant next to the chez gerard outlet. first impressions Upon entry I knew I was going into an expensive Restaurant and the first view of the Restaurant confirmed my initial thoughts. Outside the Restaurant was a Clean ...

Review of Chez Gerard, London

Harvester Restaurants

Advantages: Always one close by, quick turn out, children are welcome and catered for.
Disadvantages: Toilets can be quite disturbing, not all dishes taste as good they are described.

Harvester Restaurants Restaurant Reviewed: Stag and Hounds Winchester Road Basingstoke Hampshire (next to Comet and Home Base) The Harvester chain of Restaurants have over 2000 outlets across the United Kingdom and owned and operated by Mitchells and Butlers, who claim to be the UK's leading operator of managed pubs, bars and restaurants. Harvester claim to offer healthy eating, drinking and entertainment in one reasonably priced outlet. **** Parking and Getting a Table ***** As with most of the Harvester's I have visited, there is usually ample free parking at the rear of the establishment. However on Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch times these places are heaving with customers, so avoid the crowds, go early and if possible ring and reserve a table. The Stag and Hounds is no exception but fortunately ...

Review of Harvester Restaurants

A bit of Paris in London (mostly)

Advantages: Excellent steak-frites, very french atmosphere, good wine list
Disadvantages: Popular locations get very busy then service can go off a bit

but it is extremely popular and service can be haphazard. I particularly like Dover Street and Chancery Lane for their French style and quiet calm. If you are planning to visit then click on http://www.santeonline.co.uk/sante/offers/index.htm where there are frequently offers including money off vouchers (downloadable) and notices of special menus and deals. They often do not seem to apply at the Covent Garden venue, which is a shame but understandable I guess. Update 15.10.07: This is probably long overdue, but still current. If you collect your Tesco points you can exchange them for a Clubcard deal valid at Chez Gerard restaurants - £2.50 of tesco points = £10 off your food at the restaurant. I should stress that this is only valid against the food part of your meal and not on wine, water, coffee etc. But if you use just £7 ...
