far north as Nha Trang. We arrived unaware that a cyclone was hitting hard from the Phillipines. Flooding up and down the
country led to a state of emergency being declared throughout the country. Tourists were being shunted back to major towns and cities as fast as possible. So this situation put paid to our plans for a three week travelling trip. We faced up to the fact that it was going to be Saigon and very little else for the duration. Advantages: Beautiful beach, shops, restaurants, good activities, CHEAP!!! Disadvantages: all one main street really, extreme language barrier

The Food
I am usually fairly anxious about half-board holidays. If I don’t like the hotel food, and the local cuisine isn’t much to speak of, there are no facilities for me to live on self-made pasta for the duration of the holiday. However, walking from one end of Sunny Beach to the other (30-60 mins if you have the time for a nice walk), you will only be bombarded with choices. Most places are grill restaurants, and your meal is cooked to order – steaks, kebabs, chicken, veal etc. most menus have something in the way of potatoes, chips, omelettes, and often kids meals as well. When I was there, I also noticed a fair few Chinese and Italian restaurants too. Everything of course, is dead cheap, and you get lots of food for your money!

...Hong Kong is the greatest city in the world, there is plenty to do, plenty to eat and plenty to see.
In Hong Kong, u will surely notice the great bond between the english and the chinese culture. It is an amazing city always full of life, u can choose the various activites to entertain yourself, from sightseeing, doing tai chi with the older generation in parks during the morning or taking a fancy in enjoying dim sum for breakfast.
However, if you are in for a more exciting time, the night life is great. Karoke is a popular activity in Hong kong. It is avaible almost anywhere, its cheap, with food and drinks and the most needed -air conditioning.
