We spent 3 days in Chicago following a week's visit to friends in Michigan. We arrived on a beatiful warm evening in September to our pre-booked hotel, which was the Travelodge on Harrison St. It was about 5 minutes from N.Michigan Avenue and the main sights of Chicago. The hotel was great value too at about $89 per night for a double room (room only). We tried to fit in as much as possible in the space of 3 days and our first visit was to the Art ... ...to get a view of Chicago and it's surrounding areas which is beyond belief. Chicago reaaly has it all for tourists it is a dream to visit as there is so much to see and do.Arriving at O'Hare Airport you can get a train to downtown for $2 taking around 40 minutes to get there. The accomodation is not a great choice as it is based on the business world rather than tourists, even so I managed to stay at the Drake Hotel foe $65 per night. Things to see include; The Wrigley building, John Hancock Center, Soldier Field Stadium, ...

Michigan avenue was highly impressive, with its cascades of shops and outlets, and I would thoroughly recomment the marriot hotel there for anyone ...
