I stayed in the Essex Inn in June 2005 and I thought it was a great hotel. Really good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a suite which was great. Very Spacious and comftable. There is a restaurant on the ground floor which serves some very nice food all day at reasonable prices too. The great thing also is the swimming pool and roof terrace. It was a novelty to sunbath on top of the hotel in the middle of a city! There is also a fitness centre which looked good although not my idea of fun!!
It says its a one star hotel but I would say its more like a 3 or 4 star. Its in a good location for many attraction in Chicago.It has its own underground parking(at an additional cost). I highly recommend this hotel and would very happily stay there again.

Sorry for the lower rate but more info would be helpful. Also, I just need to point out how misleading the advice below is and you will soon get to meet different people and have your reviews read without having to add people to your Circle of Trust for them to do so. Please ignore the comment about updating your Circle of Trust. The advice is very misleading. There is no promise whatsoever that your reviews will be read by those in your COT and against the rules to use it as a click circle and your membership will be terminated if found doing so.
