Advantages: Quick chicken Disadvantages: Made me sick
As I was growing up I have heard everyone rant and rave over this fast food chicken place called Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC for short). My awful experience with KFC was located in Dubois Pa. KFC has many locations in the US (I do not know about outside the US). KFC only sells chicken products like...chicken breasts, chicken nuggets, chicken fingers and chicken salads just to name a few ( they also serve side orders with their meal deals ... ...of the Kernals chicken. As I think about writing my opinion on KFC....my stomach turns!
About three years ago I was in the process of moving away from my hometown (a very small town) and ended up finding myself moving to a city (Dubois,PA) . Kentucky Fried Chicken was only three blocks down from my new apartment. "GREAT" I thought...so I hopped in my car and drove down to get a bite to eat!
As I was growing up I have heard everyone rant and rave over this fast food chicken place called Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC for short). My awful experience with KFC was located in Dubois Pa. KFC has many locations in the US (I do not know about outside the US). KFC only sells chicken products like...chicken breasts, chicken nuggets, chicken fingers and chicken salads just to name a few ( they also serve side orders with their meal deals like...French Fries). They are most famous for their big buckets of the Kernals chicken.
So far it was great...they had a drive-thru...( I was pregnant and I didn't feel like getting out of the car because I was as big as a house!) I looked at their menu and they had a lot to choose from (in chicken of coarse) and their prices weren't bad. So I ended up ordering the Chicken Finger Meal Deal. This was four nice sized Chicken Breasts with a side of fries and another side of Cole Slaw for $3.49 (average price of take-out at a restaraunt) I gave the nice girl my order and to my surprise it wasn't a long wait at all. It actually came right away!
Well, I took my meal home and I couldn't wait to eat the chicken everyone else was so nuts over. Well...Here Goes...
I ate the first few bites and thought I was mistaken...so I took a few more bites and I didn't really see what the big deal was. It did have a distinctive taste, but it wasn't very good (just my opinion). Maybe even a little worse than others! Well I ate it anyway...until I was full. (It is definitly true when they say pregnant women will eat anything)!
Around two hours later, I wasn't feeling very good!...AT ALL! I was vomitting almost every fifteen minutes and my stomach was hurting bad. I couldn't figure out why...so I called my Doctor and because I was pregnant and I had previously had some problems with my pregnancy he made me go to the hospital. Well I ended coming home diagnosed with food poisoning. The most upsetting part of this whole situation was that I was pregnant. I am not sure why the chicken made me sick...whether it wasn't fully cooked (it tasted fully cooked) or the establishment was filthy...I am not sure and I do not care why, all I know is that it made me sick while I was pregnant.
All in all I would never recommend this (so called) restaurant to anyone, anywhere at anytime! The service is great and the prices are good, but something isn't right with the chicken. As I mentioned previously I am not sure if the establishment was filthy inside or not because I went through the drive-thru, but I do know I will never eat Kentucky Fried Chicken at this Dubois location again!
Advantages: Great food, cheap Disadvantages: Not outstanding
Nandos is a restaurant serving Mexican style chicken dishes. Although not fastfood, the
vast majority of dishes are chicken with chips, and one portion should cost about £5. The
service is quick, and drinks are refillable as many times as you want. The decor of the place is
Mexican style, with Wild West imitation posters and dark wood as cliched in numerous films.
The food itself is delicious. The chicken is well cooked and slightly spicy, and the chips
are quite large and not too greasy. There are numerous sauces provided, such as wild herb or extra
hot, which add spice with a flavour to the food. It is all quite satisfying and one portion is
filling enough.
There are about nine Nando's around London, for example in the Finchley Road O2 Centre, or
in Camberwell. ...
Advantages: Good, cheap food, made to order, wide variety. Disadvantages: None
Jack in the Box is a ncie fastfood alternative to McDonalds or Burger King etc. The menu is pretty classic, burgers, salads, chicken etc but the best item by far are their curly fries, they have an amazing seasoning and are crunchy without being overcooked, definitely a must buy. They also do some ncie Mexican food, tacos, burritos etc, some items being only 99c
Jack in the Box's catch phrase is we don't make it until you order it so they can ensure that you receive fresh, hot food. It's definitely a ploy that works as their food is usually worth the short wait.
Their television ad's are quite ingenious, Jack is a man with a big round head and he makes the decisions about all the food in quite a funny way. You can also purchase a Jack head for you car areial and will see them on quite a lot of cars.
Also at various times during ...
Overview
-----------
KFC is another fastfood place - they have outlets in almost every uk city/town. You can either eat in or take out (via drive through).
I like kfc but do find them a little expensive. There menu is also not as extensive as it could be.
Food
-------
Fried chicken, in a bucket, kids meal or burger. The buckets look like good value for money but barely feed 3 people with an average appertite. Boxed up meals are very expensive for what they are. I would say the best value meals are the snack boxes at £1.99 - you get loads of chips and one piece of chicken. Coupled with a mini fillet burget it makes a good meal for £3.19.
Value for money
---------------------
Poorer than other fastfood places but not too bad.
Service
---------
Much slower than the likes of Mc D's but still ok. Drive through ...
