...the late afternoon to the chocolate hills. All villages of the islands are in reach by bus or jeepney at ease. If you take the bus at 4 p.m. you are at dusk at the chocolate hills. Take a tricycle (30 Peso) to the bus stop and take a bus to Carmen (1,5 hours). Ask the bus driver or the cashier in the bus to let you out at the chocolate hills. Some motorbikes (20 Peso) are waiting for you to bring you up to the resort. They also offer round trips ... ...viewpoint (2 minutes) over the chocolate hills.
There are two versions of a legend, to explain the form of the hills. The first is that two giants were throwing stones, which were left at the battlefield. Advantages: Easy to tour the Island in One Day Disadvantages: Not really recommended for Children
...was three and a half years old and my son only three months old, so the food was plenty to fill us up for the journey around Bohol Island. It is adviserable to have Distilled Water from the the secured bottles, than to drink the local water as it can give a lot of upset stomachs and causes diarrhoea.
You simply tell the driver the places of interest you wish to visit and they will also include the coastal scenic route.
To get to Carmen for ChocolateHills, you have to pass through Trinidad going anti- clockwise from Ubay taking approximately fifty minutes to drive. You will know once you arrived at Choclate Hills as the climate is very hot and humid and the smell of coco through the vents in the vehicle. The driver will stay with the vehicle allowing you to walk the 213 steps to the top observation platform for a breath taking, viewing...

...Fifty five kilometers northeast of TAGBILARAN CITY, the provincial capital of Bohol, is one of the most famous natural attractions of the Philippine archipelago.
Once, a total of 1,268 "CHOCOLATEHILLS" grew up from corals. Two were "stolen by men", carrying away sand and gravel for road repair in Carmen. Then, another of the hills wer fount partly "eaten" of fed, rather to concrete producing machines ..... ignoring that the National Committee on Geological Services has declared ChocolateHills in 1988 as a National Geological Monument.
Due to the road conditions, the approximate travel time between Tagbilaran and CARMEN would be about 90 minutes or more.
After 213 steps up the hill, one can reach the observation deck on one Hill - with exquisite panoramic views - that is Chcoloate Hills as far as they eyes can see...
