I went to pay a visit to this church after the end of our walking tour which terminated in the Old Town Square. Located at the corner of the Old Town Square facing the Tyn courtyard , it does not look impressive on the outside but inside, it’s definitely magnificant.
It is one of the most impressive gothic sacral building in Prague. The building work started in Mid 14th century and did not finish until the early 16th century. In the late 17th century, the interior decoration was changed to the Baroque style. The church is small inside with only a few rolls of seats, part of the church is restricted to vistors. I went in and sat for a short while to admire the magnificiant archietecture and decoration. The one thing which caught my eye was the beautiful chandelier. I think it's a place to give yourself a moment of peace and quite, to be away from the hussle and buzzle of the Old Town!!
