Living in Worthing West Sussex for a little part of my life. Brighton was only 13 miles away from me. So a trip to Churchill Square wasn’t too far away.
Churchill Square is in the middle of Brighton, East Sussex. It’s not to far from London either.

Transport is very good to. You have the Central Train station, which runs regular trains. That is only a 5 – 10 minute walk.
There’s buses that are frequent too which do stop outside the shopping mall.
Churchill square have there own car park which is every big, but it does often get packed out. There are other car parks nearby.

Churchill Square is open 7 days a week. On Thursdays they do have late night shopping so they stay open later till 8pm.

It has disabled access to the mall, Toilets, and baby changing facilities and a crčche.

When I shop there I don’t really have to leave Churchill square, as mostly everything is under one roof. There are more shops outside of Churchill Square so it does make a great day out shopping.

There are around 85 different shops in the mall.
The mall is set out in 3 levels.

Whenever I go here it always smells the same, you can smell the cookies from Millies Cookies. But ive never actually eaten any, they smell nice enough but Im not a biscuit/cookie person.

The lower mall.
You have to go down the escalator to get there, or there is a lift that is in the middle of the mall. The lift does get rather packed, as it is quiet small.
Some of the shops you will find in the lower mall is, Debenhams – This shop sells clothes, things for your home etc. I never really shop in here.
Allsports – A sports shop.
Evans –This shop sells ladies clothes for the larger person, there sizes start from a size 16. They sell a huge range of clothes.
WH Smiths – They sell books, cards, DVD’s, newspapers, large selection of magazines.
The Gadget shop – I love this shop sells all those weird gadgets that should keep you amused for hours.
Discovery Store, this is a little like the gadget shop.
Early Learning Centre - great for toys and pre-school educational toys.
Shoe Zone - fab place for cheap shoes.
Eisenegger -this shop always seems to have a 70% sale going on. Sells men’s, ladies and a little selection of children’s clothing.

The upper mall (this is street level)
This is the middle section. At both ends you can get out of the mall to see the other shops that are outside of the mall.
The mall is kind of in 3 parts on this floor, west central and east. Its like the letter ‘T’ but upside down and in the middle it the balcony to look over to the lower part of the mall.
But over all sections of this upper mall level you would find loads more exciting shops. Thornton’s – Sells all that naughty but nice chocolates.
The Disney Store, name of the shop describes it all really.
Vodaphone – for all the mobiles and accessorises.
Footlocker – another sports shop
Borders Books and Music – sells books and music really.
USC – men and ladies clothing.
Ravel – shoe shop
H Samuel – jewellery shop
Next – ladies, men’s and children’s clothing (my favourite shop)
HMV- music shop
River Island – ladies and men’s clothing
Virgin megastore – music store, they sell DVD’s, games. I do like this shop you can get some great offers in there.
Miss Selfridge – Ladies clothing
Clinton Cards – cards, wrapping paper, cuddly toys, sells all things for them important dates not to be missed.
Bay Trading – Ladies clothing
Mothercare babies and children’s clothes plus all babies things you need
Adams – children’s clothing
Gymboree – crčche facilities

Ive listed some of the shops but there are loads more, I didn’t want to make a really long list of all the shops. Plus if I named them all there wouldn’t be any surprises left.

There are banking facilities to get money out in the mall too, there is one just outside too. By the pub on the right hand side. Just walk down the steps and its just there.

You can also find little stalls inside the mall.

The third level is restaurants and toilets. You can get to this either by lift or the escalator. There is a wide range of things to eat that would suit everyone.
You can get MacDonald’s, Jacket potatoes, sandwiches, salads, cakes, hot and cold drinks.
It does have seating areas but can get packed out.

You will also find a burger van that’s normally parked outside too. Just next to the guy that sells the mobile phone covers.

You can find other fast food places just outside too, KFC, Pizza hut, Burger King, there’s another MacDonald’s too

You can get to the car park through Churchill square, it’s a pay when you return to your car system.

One thing I do believe the shopping mall is missing is ‘Woolworth’s’ as this is outside of the mall, I like this shop as you can get mostly everything in there.

So when you have shopped till you have dropped, but wanting to look around Brighton, you will find lots more things to do. There’s even more shops to go look around outside of the mall.

Other things to do while in Brighton, which isn’t too far.
Brighton palace pier, this is on Madeira drive. Great place too take the kids and for us adults too. We love getting fish and chips from here. There is a restaurant half way down on the pier.
The Sealife Centre is just over the road from the pier too.

Brighton also has ‘The Lanes’ to go look down, which is signposted, its all the little back street shops to get great bargins.

Only a short journey away is Brighton Marina, Which also has a Cinema, health centre, Asda & petrol station, Pub, Bowling, a few shops, and restaurant.
It has a big car park so whenever ive been parking isn’t a problem. I do believe buses run there too.
It isn’t that far to walk from Brighton’s palace pier.

So overall Churchill Square is a great place to do your shopping, Loads of shops to look in and spend money.
The only downside to it is that it can get very packed on weekends, and the lifts are very small, and if anyone like me has young children and a buggy then we do have to wait a while to get in the lift to get to the next level.
There should be more lifts really.

Another good advantage its in the centre of Brighton, so its easy to access.

It makes a great day out, as my children love to visit the pier after and go on the rides.

Living in Cheltenham now, I have other shopping malls to go exploring in. Im off to the Bullring in Birmingham tomorrow :O)
