Circus Circus - who saw the clown? 09/08/2006

Advantages Close to the LVHilton for shows, has trolley stop, good entertainment for kids
Disadvantages Close to the northern end of the Strip,

The one real reason I stayed at the Circus Circus hotel was that I was going to Vegas to see Barry Manilow and did not want to pay top dollar for a hotel room. That out of the way I can tell you my opinion on the huge hotel that scarily welcomes you with a giant neon clown! We arrived after an 18 hour journey, tired and exhausted, to be met at reception by the most courteous and friendly staff that I have encountered in any hotel. The different rooms at Circus Circus 09/11/2007

Advantages variety, cheap and cheerful, large, clean, well-decorated
Disadvantages depends which rooms you choose

There's so much to review when discussing hotels in Las Vegas and Circus Circus hold as many attractions under one roof as other hotels on the Strip, if not more. Here, I want to review the accommodation itself, namely the guest rooms. Circus Circus currently has the cheapest priced rooms ON the Strip since the closure of Stardust and New Frontier. There are two significant sections of guest rooms and the room rates vary, depending on where you stay. (For your information, the hotel offers a KOA RV park and motor lodge, including a small camping area, but I cannot comment on these in detail.) ... more

Advantages Cheap, good for kids
Disadvantages Old, not as good as other hotels and casinos

Las Vegas has gone through a lot of renovations in the last couple of years but there are parts that still lack that glitz and glamour that Vegas is known for and the Circus Circus hotel is one of those places. This is not surprising given that it was opened in 1968 making it one of the older hotels on the strip. The hotel is located right at the end of the strip so if you are looking to be right in the action then you will have to walk someway to find it unfortunately but if you are here with kids then maybe being right int he heart of the strip is not exactly what you want anyway.
