The hotel was offering some special offers last month so me and my boyfriend decided to stay there for the weekend when visiting London. It has an ideal location. We went down by train and it's only about 15 minutes walk from Euston station, or a few bus stops away. We arrived early so we left our luggage and was told to get back after 2. The lobby is not huge but nicely decorated. There is an Egyptian sculpture next to the lift, kind of like a replica of those you see in museum, quite special.
Again I have to praise its location. It didnot take us long before we reached New Oxford street by foot. Bear in mind it was January when the sale was still going on-I could start my shopping straightaway. We got back after lunch and the room was ready. It's a double room with a king size bed. The room is quite spacious with a plasma TV ...
Advantages: Lots of places to shop, indoors or outdoors! (and nice Waffles!) Disadvantages: The usual disadvantages of London (pickpockets, traffic, crowded, etc.)
I've been to Covent Garden a couple of times, once a few years ago and once a few days ago, and I am still yet to have explored all of it! Not only is there the huge marketplace but it is also surrounded by lots of other shops too.
The famous market area is covered with a roof and home to lots and lots of stalls selling cheap clothes, jewellery, accessories etc. - lots of very low prices, especially considering this is bang in the middle of London, one of the priciest cities in Britain. Although, sometimes the prices are cheap because the products are cheap... but look carefully and you may find stuff that's actually worth buying and comes at a bargain price.
When I was 13 or 14 I was on a school trip to London and we spent a few hours in Covent Garden, and we thought it was great, frittering away our pocket money on cheap hair ...
Advantages: Really delicious healthy food, efficient service, good value Disadvantages: Atmosphere lacking - see review
This weekend I had some American friends staying. This had two consequences. Firstly I am absolutely exhausted from doing every London tourist attraction in existence in two days. Secondly I had the good fortune of rediscovering Wagamama?s. After enjoying a performance of ?Fame!? one of my friends, who has visited London before, decided we should go eat at Wagamama?s round the corner. I had only been once before a long time ago so I was more than happy to agree.
The first Wagamama?s opened on Streatham Street, Central London, in 1992. Since then restaurants have opened across London as well as nationally with plans for further expansion. Under the slogan of ?Positive Eating ? Positive Living? Wagamama?s aims to serve tasty nutritious food while providing friendly service and value for money.
We visited the Covent Garden Wagamama ...
