Harold Becker as New York Mayor John Pappas in City Hall, a savvy thriller that's the first film ever shot inside the lower Manhattan structure that's ground zero for the city's government. That and other NYC locations provide the vivid settings as an idealistic mayoral aide (John Cusack) follows a trail of subversion and cover-up that may loop back to the man he serves and reveres. Bridget Fonda, Danny Aiello, Martin Landau, Tony Franciosa and David Paymer add more starry brilliance to this gripping tale of power. And the power behind the power.

big-city corruption and the flexibility of what's right and wrong in the political arena. John Cusack plays the senior aide to mayor John Pappas (Al Pacino), a popular and seasoned politician whose administration is threatened when what seems to be an accidental shooting of a child reveals a nest of corruption and lifelong personal debts. This tests Cusack's loyalty to the man he thought he knew. Pacino turns in a finely textured performance as a man who has his own lofty ideals, but whose pragmatism sets in motion a series of events with tragic results. Cusack admirably captures the essence of someone polished and savvy at his job but must cope with fundamental disillusionment. This political thriller suffers at times from a lack of focus, but still offers an insightful and poignant treatise on the quagmire of politics in the modern age and the human toll it sometimes exacts. --Robert Lane

The shops in Royal Avenue face you if you stand with the front door to your back. They are the major British retailers, such as the epitome of British haute cuisine, Burger King. It is a bit easier to travel down the said thoroughfare now that the security gates and turnstiles have been removed.

Apparently this is supposed to be based upon St. Paul's in London. But then again, it also looks like the Customs House in Dublin (which was a design originally intended for St. Petersburg).
It does look quite pleasant and the grounds give a nice area in which to sit down, especially on a hot summer’s day (thought they don’t seem to be too frequent in the North).
It’s also handy for the buses and the shops. The buses congregate on two opposing sides of the square (Donegall Square, notice the ‘ll’, it was named after some duke or some such person who had the two in his name as opposed to the one you get in the county). These are the red city buses as opposed to the blue of Ulsterbus.

Great Victoria bus and rail station is only about five minutes walk away. So are the Opera House (not that it stages any to my knowledge) and the headquarters of the UUP. So you have all of the important places near to hand. You can go to the shops, laugh at the OH and UUP then get the hell out.

They do sell souvenirs but given that they are neither in abundance or much cop you might want to give them a miss. Also, given the usual reticence of Belfast people when it comes to being helpful or friendly, you would probably have to go to the counter on your knees.
The whole shebang is best viewed from the outside. Though the Capitol Hill architecture is spoilt from time to time by the political banners that are put up.
Advantages: Belfast has a lot to offer Disadvantages: The weather can sometimes be a bit miserable.
This is a guide to let tourists know the many interesting features of Belfast in Northern Ireland, Hopefully within my review
I provide some useful information for anyone interested in visiting belfast so that they can derive maximum enjoyment from their visit.
Belfast has many places to visit such as the Cityhall, where the belfast wheel can be found, the charge to get on the wheel is around £6.00 and you are on it for about 15 minutes, as the wheel slowly turns , the view of Belfast is stunning. Then in the east of the city we have Harland and Wolff where the famous Titanic was built.
There are murals painted on gable walls across North, East, South and West belfast, the black taxis offer a city tour to see both the sites and the murals around Belfast, the cost for this is around £8.00 per person and the tour would last about ...

Advantages: Funkarama night is great Disadvantages: Very dark
This is one of the nightclubs that open late in Belfast:3am. Most of the other clubs close at 1:30am. This is situated just off BelfastCityHall down an allway. many of the nights this club is open they have a different theme. Foe example on thursdays it is R'n'B and Hip Hop, with the title Funkarama! They offer both regular rates and student rates. There are also a number of delicious cocktails to try and then dance the night away. There is a biggish dance floor downstairs and then uptairs a seating area. It is quite dark in this place and also a bit too much smoke from the smoke machines so it is quite difficult to talent spot but easier to come out of yourself and danec...but altogether thi provides a great night out! ...
Advantages: regular drinks promos, late opening, good music Disadvantages: toilets, attracts a number of posers
Thompson's is situated down a little alleyway beside a bank which is just across the road from BelfastCityHall. Thompson's has established itself as one of Belfast's most well known nightclubs. Its doors have been opened for over nine years. The club is opened seven nights a week, each night having a different style of music and therefore attracting a different crowd.
The club itself is relatively small. As you walk down the alleyway to the club, there are a set of doors and bouncers outside (we'll come to them later). When you walk in there is a little desk where you pay in and then a set of stairs taking you upstairs. Upstairs has a large bar, the Dj booth and comfy couches along the side of the wall. There is a balcony where you can see downstairs. Beside the Dj booth are a set of stairs that take you down to the main dancefloor ...
