    Newcastle City Hall is used for various purposes including meetings and plays. However, I normally go to see pop concerts. The building usually holds 2000 people. As with everywhere else, prices for such events vary but it's rare to pay more than £30 for a ticket to a show at the City Hall. The venue is slap bang in the middle of Newcastle and is literally only 10 minutes away from the nearest Metro station (Haymarket) and bus stops (New Bridge Street). The building is functional but pleasant and staff are very helpful if you are having difficulty finding your seat. I find it's better to sit 3 ... more
