City Hotel Trelew, Patagonia

Advantages: Spacious, awe-inspiring, peaceful expanses, friendly people.. Delicious food and wine!
Disadvantages: Far but well worth it

...This is actually a "reviewed" version of my Patagonia review, but I couldn't post it again under "Patagonia", so I chose this category instead! ********************************************************************** Patagonia is divided into Argentinean Patagonia and Chilean Patagonia. This review is about Argentinean Patagonia. I could have said this without repeating the word "Patagonia" so much, but you have no idea how sweet this name sounds on my tongue and my mind. Patagonia! Patagonia Patagonia Patagonia. Okay, enough! The origin of the name "Patagonia" is not very clear. Some say it was derived from the Tehuelche's (natives of the region) moccasins' size. Advantages: The awe-striking landscapes, the kindness of the people, the food...
Disadvantages: None that I have experinced personally

...to a place we were looking for. Although some of them do speak English, it is definitely advisable to learn some basic Spanish before going there. Accommodation ranges from camping sites to luxurious cabañas (purpose built houses that vary from a studio like room to a 3 or more fully furnished bedroom house) and is still very cheap. All the places we stayed in were clean and well kept. Prices can start at $10 (I believe there are even cheaper hostels) and climb to three figure sums for a 4 o 5 star hotel or one of those delightful cabañas. Discounts are often given for longer stays, usually from a week onwards, but some will give you a special price for a 5 night stay. If you go there during the summer (December to March), it would be best to book a little in advance, as the best (and cheapest) places go fast. Patagonia is still... Read review

Advantages: Brilliant View, close to city
Disadvantages: Very expensive....not worth the money

...I went to Sydney a couple of months ago and thought I would splash out and stay at Star City.....which is right in the heart of Darling Harbour in the city. After arriving at the airport we had our first bad experience in that they make you PAY for the airport Shuttle bus...not just any shuttle bus, the actual star city one! So they make their guests pay to get to the hotel....In my opinion, when you pay such high prices to stay somewhere nice, you would think the shuttle bus is part of the service! So we end up renting a car, we get to the hotel only to find they CHARGE their own guests $40 per NIGHT to park at the hotel....yes the hotel that you are a guest at and have paid $300+ per NIGHT to stay at! For these prices, you would expect a really nice room, we stayed there for 4 nights so it wasn't cheap and to be honest, the room we... Read review
