I enjoyed a very comfortable and peaceful nights sleep. The tv and dvd player gave excellent pictures. There were dvds on hire downstairs but only after paying a £20 deposit (I took my own.) The breakfast was delicious, fresh and tasty, well presented and a very comprehensive choice. I had smoked salmon, quality cereal mix, fresh juice, fresh baked danish pastries and black coffee, but there were many other options including fresh fruit salad, individual yogurt pots, toast, various juices, and cooked breakfasts, which I observed looked well presented. I would say this is a classy hotel, but not pretentious, and if you are able to find a special deal as I did, exceptionally good value. I was extremely satisfied with every aspect of my stay, particulary the high standard of cleanliness in my room and in the dining room. I would definitely stay there again. The only negative is that it's a fair walk to the town centre, so it depends on your reason for booking. Its just a couple of minutes walk from the railway station though. There is a bus stop with frequent bus service literally outside the hotel.

When it came to booking 7 days' accommodation for myself this past week, this hotel was the only one with a room available for the whole 7 days, so I took it. I paid £58.99 per night for the room (with just me in it) and I felt ripped off.
It's your bog standard city centre hotel, practical and no frills. It barely met my expectations and certainly didn't surpass them and there was nothing about the staff or the hotel that would make me seek it out in the future unless I absolutely had to. I'm glad on this occasion that I had to spend ...
