On arrival, our bags were taken and after check in the porter showed us our room. It was a fair size and had a nice bathroom. There was a dvd player, LCD TV, desk with a leather chair and a very large double bed. The bathrooms consisted of both bath and shower and the toiletries were made by the White Company - a decent brand! The hotel room was air conditions with a control ont eh wall to change the setting. After settling in, we walked out of the hotel to a taxi which was waiting outside and took us a very whort ride to leicester square for dinner.
The following morning, we did not partake in breakfast as we were staying room only. We had a day of sightseeeing and then returned to our room to prepare for dinner. We went down to the hotel bar before going out. We had a bottle of wine which came in at 16.75 and before leaving I had a champagne cocktail which was a treat at 12 pounds.
We went out to dinner and to my surprise, my partner proposed. We were eating in Mayfair and asked our taxi driver to drop us some way before we reached the hotel so we could walk along the river. It was very enjoyable and very romantic!
When we reached the hotel, we went tothe bar and had some drinks. The drinks were on the house due to our celebration - the staff joined in!!
Over the whole weekend, the staff were excellent and catered to our every need. We stayed for a very reasonable price of 157 pounds for both nights which I think was a special offer as the prices now seem to be much higher - but well worth the money.
...spent 3 night at the City Inn Westminster and it was excellent.
The hotel was a 5-10 minute walk from the nearest tube station (Westminster Line) and situated near Tate Britain. We walked to Tower Bridge and the House of Parliament so its very easy to sightsee on foot.
From the outside the hotel looked amazing and very modern and inside didnt disappoint. Our bags were taken on arrival and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very ... ...have a vast whisky supply for all the whisky lovers.
We purchased our flights with the accomodation. All in all we were £450 for return flights to Aberdeen and our accomodation not including meals.
We would really recommend the City Inn, we cant wait to go back!! ...
