We spent 3 night at the City Inn Westminster and it was excellent.
The hotel was a 5-10 minute walk from the nearest tube station (Westminster Line) and situated near Tate Britain. We walked to Tower Bridge and the House of Parliament so its very easy to sightsee on foot.
From the outside the hotel looked amazing and very modern and inside didnt disappoint. Our bags were taken on arrival and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our room was very modern, clean and spacious. There was a nice big bed, tea making facilities, mini bar, safe, tv, dvd player and desk. The bathroom was lovely, with a walk in power shower, and had lovely cotton bathrobes. The hotel was very busy but also nice and quiet.
We ate at the restaurant a few times and the food was amazing. The menu was very varied with plenty of choice for everyone. I would thoroughly recommend the Cornish Chicken!! Prices were pretty good for london. Starters from the A La Carte cost between £4-10, mains cost anything between £14-25 but well worth it and as with any hotel the alcohol is on the more expensive side. The bar had a vast stock of drinks and it was nice and relaxing to finish off the evening. There was huge cocktail menu, tried out a few which were lovely cost about £5 each depending on the cocktail chosen. They also have a vast whisky supply for all the whisky lovers.
We purchased our flights with the accomodation. All in all we were £450 for return flights to Aberdeen and our accomodation not including meals.
We would really recommend the City Inn, we cant wait to go back!!
