53 Euros is cheaper than youth hostel (per person less than 18 Euros on this rate). The rate even includes breakfast so we didn't have high expectations before we arrived. However, when we got into the room, all of us ... ...want to stay near the city centre. The location is really good. The U-bahn and S-bahn is just in front of the hotel. The nearest bus stop is 1 minute away. Within walking distance is a good restaurant, House of 100 Beers. If you want to try traditional German food, go to this restaurant near the hotel. Don't go to the one in the city because for the same food, prices are higher there.

53 Euros is cheaper than youth hostel (per person less than 18 Euros on this rate). The rate even includes breakfast so we didn't have high expectations before we arrived. However, when we got into the room, all of us were very happy. The room was very spacious. They gave us three single beds and this was great. Everyone was given two towels and the towel is placed nicely on the bed.
What gave a shock was the shower box .It is really a box in the room and it is transparent. Before I booked this hotel, I have read some reviews online and all said this hotel is great but no one mentioned about the transparent shower box with its manual pump. So, what is a manual pump? I doubt you can see it in UK. When you shower, you have to switch on the red button outside the shower box so that water will be pumped away. Not a big problem. However, beware that the second person will not have hot water for shower. Not sure why this is so.
Lucky for us, the hotel wasn't full for 2 nights and the receptionist gave us another key to the next room to use the shower there. If you have to use the same shower, wait for at least 10 minutes for hot water after the first person finished showering, or, on the cold water tap and let the water flow when the second person is showering so that cold water does not go through the shower.
I mentioned that we were given another room to shower. On both nights, we had the opportunity to see different rooms. Both were double rooms and they were as nicely decorated as our room. One had a shower box but the other one had a proper shower space with curtains. Having seen all three rooms, I can say that the hotel maintains a high standard in all rooms.
For this hotel, all rooms do not have toilet so you have to use the common toilet outside. The toilets were always vacant when we were there and they were very clean too.
The breakfast is included for all room rates and we think it was very very good. The hotel should be chosen if you want to stay near the city centre. The location is really good. The U-bahn and S-bahn is just in front of the hotel. The nearest bus stop is 1 minute away. Within walking distance is a good restaurant, House of 100 Beers.
