Advantages: This 'designer' cream will turn your bathroom shelf into a shrine. Disadvantages: Your bank manager will none too pleased.
I have read nothing but rave reviews about Creme dela Mer, an A-list moisturiser with an A-list price tag attached. Magazines are forever gushing about this product, associating words such as 'miracle' and 'extraordinary' to it so naturally curiosity got the better of me. Now although I can be somewhat of a beauty product victim and quite impulsive, even I know that forking out around eighty-eight quid for an itsy tub (30ml!) of this wonder is just plain ridiculous. So I sought to foreign lands, the U S of A to be precise, with hope that I could purchase the product for a fraction of the price - this was roughly about a year ago folks, before recession, when the value of the pound was almost two dollars, and so I managed to get hold of it at just over a hundred dollars with postage and packaging which luckily worked out no more than ...
Advantages: You see results quickly Disadvantages: Expensive
I had heard about crčme dela mer in the press & looked at the price & thought how ridiculously overpriced. Even though I was intrigued I thought there's no way I can justify spending that much.
However things were about to change - fast forward to 3 years later & I have had the worst skin problems with spots & scarring - they seemed never ending & I was beginning to get fed up of always having horrible skin.
Then one day complaining to a friend she recommended using crčme dela mer. She has been using it for about 5 years & has the most amazing skin - so off I went to Selfridges & got the 30ml pot - I thought I don't want to splash out too much so I thought I'll use this size to try it out.
I've been using the creme morning & night on recommendation of my friend to get maximum benefits - this has worked very well for me. It also ...
Advantages: It comes in a nice green box Disadvantages: Didn't live up to the hype
this would be the elusive cream that would melt away all my bad skin days and leave me waking up each morning with skin so beautiful and flawless I would look like Da Vinci had airbrushed me himself! I am so deluded, easily led and gullible, I know, but I fell for it hook, line and skincare...
The packaging is definately not consistent with the price tag. Ok, the green bag and box it comes in are alright, and the actual pot is unusually heavy but the logo on the pot is so cheap looking, I told my husband it cost Ł4.99 from the chemist and he believed me! I should have spent Ł4.99 but on a pot of Nivea because Creme DeLa Mer is Nivea's more expensive snobby twin.
The actual product itself sat on top of my skin for what felt like an eternity, I was too afraid to put it on just before getting into bed and wasting a fivers worth on my ...
