Clarendon Hotel and Wight Mouse Inn, Chale

The Wight Mouse use to be a great family pub. But then it was taken over by a big firm that owns loads of pubs across England.
Now they do allot to cut cost i.e. most meals are precooked then microwaved in plastic containers. So you would think if they only got to put a container in the microwave for five minutes, then scrape it on to a plate, it would not take long. Yet some people have to wait for over an hour to get their meals.

Apart from that the pub itself is fairly clean.
Also it has great facilities for children there is an indoor play centre, swings climbing frame etc in the garden.
Tip of the day: if you do go there order something like steak and chips etc thing that can't be microwaved and only use sauces from sachet.
i have not stayed in a room there but they are probably clean and tidy little rooms with Minimal ... more
