I stayed at the hotel in 2008 and fell in love with it. As one walks through the main entrance, one feels as though one is entering an ancient, traditional Spanish palace, with paladian columns and achitecture, in fact, this is exactly what the building originally was. However, the Hotel Claris is an ultra-modern palace that combines classic architecture with the neatest modern styles. The rooms are very luxurious with all modern amenities one would expect from a five star hotel. The food is also wondeful, albeit a little expensive. The Hotel Claris is a fantastic, modern, luxurious hotel that would make any city trip very, very memorable.
Advantages: Luxury hotel in a great setting for restaurants and shopping Disadvantages: Not the friendliest staff, and pricey extras

Advantages: Great location, gorgeous architecture Disadvantages: Expensive
The Claris is one of the most amazing hotels in Barcelona. We stayed for a weekend and it was perfect for a short break in Barcelona. The hotel has many recognisable features - an amazing collection of art - a combination of old and classical, some incredible features architecturally in glass and steel. Overall the hotel is very modern and stylish.
There are about 120 rooms, and the hotel has great wooden interiors, the flooring as well as the walls are also built in panels of wood with a decor to match. Bathrooms are modern and clean however the rooms definitely are the key highlight.
The room we stayed in had air-conditioning, telephone, fax-modem connection, satellite TV, CD player, safe and mini bar. One interesting feature of the hotel is a private museum of amazing egyptian artefacts.
The hotel was happy to arrange spa ...
