Advantages: Bang in the middle of the Airport and the main city Disadvantages: Hard to get taxis in the winter
When I first saw this place it seemed to stand out like a sore thumb. It was middle of January and vey dull but this place seemed to light up the area quite nicely. I spent alot of time here between January and May and as time went by got to know the surrounding area very well. Its an ideal place to stay in the summer as you've got a very nice lake nearby. Here they have alot of bars/restaraunts open during the summer and its makes it a pleasent place to be. But..........
During the winter it was hideous the food at the hotel is mediocre so really it was best to eat out. Getting a Taxi into Bucharest costs around 2 quid but its worth it to eat properly. Getting one there is no problem but getting one back when theres a foot of snow around is an absolute nightmare!!! It took me almost 2 hours one evening (ok I waited in the Irish bar ...

With eldest son working in Turkey for the summer, we decided it was time for mum to go visit and spoil his fun. So, a quick surf around the various travel agents found us a great deal, leaving at the time we wanted, going to the resort we wanted, and promising a 4 star hotel for around £200 each b and b, including airport taxes and transfer fees.
So... having landed in Bodrum, paid our fees to get into the country, we had about an hour journey (100km) to Altinkum and our first sighting of The First ClassHotel. It is actually situated about 10 minutes from the main promenade, and in the area where most of the hotels are situated, with shops and bars close by.

My family and I have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions now and I would never stay anywhere else in Dubai. The quality of the hotel rooms and service puts a 5 star hotel in Britain to shame. I cannot tell you how much the room cost as we were living in Saudi Arabia at the time and so payed in Saudi Riyals, but for the class of the hotel it was well worth every penny. On arrival we were given a cold drink and our luggage was taken to our room. We stayed in a suite in the main building which comprised a sitting room which was equipped with TV, DVD player, Stereo system, 2 sofas, coffee table, Bureau, Dining table and 4 chairs, fresh fruit and fresh flowers, and sliding doors leading onto a balcony with sea view. Through a door you entered the bedroom which was luxurious to say the least. A large king size bed ...
