i have been in marmaris on july 2007, and i should say this place is beautiful place and you may try another beech you should go to icmeler beech which is moor clear beech AND IT is takes 10 min by bus and recomend you to try jeep safari and boat safari lot of moor entrainment and dont forget to go to turkish bath in your hotel and 4 star hotel Anemon Hotel with beatiful view,100 meters to the sea ,very good quality food .

It was last year that my wife and I stayed here. The hotel name was in Turkish which was called "The Kirlangic". This means swallow.
The Hotel sits on the main road into the town and right opposite one of the entrances to the market which is on every Monday. So if you have a room facing the road you will be awake early (4 oclock ish). At the time only some rooms had air conditioning. The rooms are small in comparison to a lot of hotels in the area but you only sleep in then anyway. They are clean and fresh.
I found the staff friendly, even more so if you speak a bit of Turkish (but dont let them know its only a few words, it keeps then on thier toes) they feel you are making an effort. You are close to all the bars and shops where you need a good haggling technique.

With eldest son working in Turkey for the summer, we decided it was time for mum to go visit and spoil his fun. So, a quick surf around the various travel agents found us a great deal, leaving at the time we wanted, going to the resort we wanted, and promising a 4 star hotel for around £200 each b and b, including airport taxes and transfer fees.
So... having landed in Bodrum, paid our fees to get into the country, we had about an hour journey (100km) to Altinkum and our first sighting of The First ClassHotel. It is actually situated about 10 minutes from the main promenade, and in the area where most of the hotels are situated, with shops and bars close by.
Up the steps and into the lobby which was a large area with cream suede sofas (what possessed them?). A quick look around revealed a large starcase with a dirty worn out ...
