Cleopatra Tsokkos Hotel, Sharm El Sheikh

Advantages: The weather, the people, the scenery, the hotel, the sea, the fish....
Disadvantages: Can get very hot in the summer period!

..., there was nothing in sight but desert. No buildings, no roads, no trees, no lakes, no rivers, just desert. I could actually see the viens of rivers that had dried out. The tributaries and main river patterns had left marks in the desert, but there was no water running through them. The flight was around 5 hours from Manchester Airport and landing in Sharm El Sheikh airport. When stepping off the plane I was hit by a sudden rush of heat, it was beautiful. The hotels in Sharm El Sheikh are extremely grand and are mostly all-inclusive. Our hotel (Iberotel Club Fanara) was beautiful. My family have no complaints on our accommodation, just points to praise about. We were one family of very few english people, and that is just what my family wanted, no offence but us English people can be really embarrassing on holiday. The hotel was eye catching... It was a wonderful experience - please read our review. ********** BOOKING ********** We booked via lastminute.com just 4 days before we went there - at £ 179 per person for 7 nights a real bargain. Included were: - flight with Astraeus (charter airline) from and to Gatwick - 7 nights accommodation incl. breakfast in the Ocean Bay Hotel - transfer from and to the airport in Sharm el Sheikh Travel insurance is included in our bank account arrangements, so we didn't need to buy. If you intend to go diving a lot, an extra insurance cover is advisable. After the booking we got contacted by the travel agency ('Explorers' - specialist in diving holidays). ...I have just returned from a 7day stay in the Royal Plaza Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, Located near Naama Bay. Location / FOOD (my main focus, lol) The location of the hotel was excellent, it was a quick walk to the beach (around 8 mins). It is a 2 min walk from Naama Bay which has a whole host of places to eat, Hard Rock Cafe, TGI Fridays, KFC, Pizza Hut as well as many local restaurants and also services offered by the hotels in the naama bay area (crepes, pizza's ice cream etc) There are many bars in the area and also a big club (pacha). Family Holiday? I went with one of my friends and we wanted a relaxing holiday and it was perfect for us. Don't be fooled though, as relaxing as it can be there also seems to be a lot of things people can do who are up for a good time. Sharm is a good location for family fun, relaxing... Read review
