An old converted castle with a cleaning problem

Advantages: Location, decor, comforable rooms, good bus service close by
Disadvantages: Badly cleaned rooms & a constant problem

...booked us in at the Clontarf Hotel, an old castle that had been converted to a hotel. It's situated away form the city centre in a rather nice suburb of Dublin close to the waterside. If you haven't got a car with you, you'll need to rely on public transport or taxis. There is a fairly reliable bus service close by & it was keenly priced. The cost was approx £53.00 per night (depending on exchange rate) for a four night stay, one night only can be ...
...it has an impressive lobby, who ever converted it, did a tasteful & professional job. We were quickly checked in & found our rooms comfortable & quite well equipped. It was a hot August weekend & the room had no air conditioning, but of more concern was our dirty bath. We had the remains of the previous person's 'tide mark' left in the bath!! We reported it to the staff & it was quickly cleaned up.
