I stayed at this hotel when on a school ski holiday and I was very unimpressed. The quality of the rooms and food was very low. However I must admit I do believe you get what you pay for seeing as it was quite cheap I couldn’t expect a lot anyways. But no matter how cheap a hotel it should always be very hygienic and clean. This was not the case for club hotel piolet. I was very disgusted to find a large pool of water collecting around my feet in the bath whilst taking a shower. I presumed that the drain must be blocked so I came out the shower and told my friends who then brought this to attention of a member of staff. The staff member came in stuck his fingers down the plug hole and reeled out a huge ball of hair and dirt. I was absolutely mortified; he continued to delve his finger in for about 5 minutes pulling out heaps off filth which was clogging the drain. If that wasn’t enough we later realised that our toilet was leaking water across the whole bathroom and our hot water also turned off regularly! Mostly whilst we were in the shower, warm water would turn freezing cold and I myself have even had to get out of the shower because of this with my hair full of lather from shampoo. Skiing out of the hotel was good as there was a small slope just outside the door of the ski and boot room which led onto a main slope; however skiing back to the hotel was very difficult as there was only one ski route. This was suitable to ski down from but extremely awkward to ski up or even walk up whilst dragging skis. Next I discovered the awful food which quite frankly appeared the same on the plate as it did when I threw it back up in the toilet. On the first evening I was presented with a very dry, bland piece of chicken breast, dressed in what could only be described as ‘watery tomato juice!’ It appeared as though the kitchen staff had jus boiled a piece of chicken breast and then dumped a can of tomatoes on it. There were clumps of tomatoes and a pool of water with a piece of chicken placed in the centre of my plate. Dining every day was atrocious, particularly at dinner. We were even presented with a roast dinner where the meat was folded up sandwich meat! Upon inspection we discovered that the sandwich meat was covered in gravy and folded up to disguise the fact that it was wafer thin sandwich meat. After scraping gravy off the meat we discovered that it was also very pink, I was disgusted. I did not eat for the entire duration of the trip; I lived off fruit and sweets that friends had brought me. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, unless you are planning on just sleeping there.
