Club 18-30 is not known for its stylish accomodation, we didnt expect much and got exactly what we expected. four guys in their early 20's crammed into a room no bigger than my bathroom at home. There were 4 single beds lined up side by side, one wardrobe (for 4 people!) and a tiny pokey little toilet and shower cubicle. To be fair the room was clean (well it was when we arrived). I wasnt too bothered about the accomodation because i didnt plan on being in it much. As far as i was concerned it was only somewhere to put my head down if i didnt get a click.
The reps meeting in the morning was quite good fun - they all seemed right up for a laugh and a bit wild. They did seem a bit forceful to get you to go on trips (it is how they get paid though so i expected it'd be like that), anyway - we decided to go on around half the trips. The first organised trip was a boat cruise where you basically got as drunk as you could for four hours while out at sea. Dangerous - yes, Fun - definately. everyone that wasnt throwing up due to sea sickness (half the boat!!) had a great time. The next day the reps werent nearly as bouncy or active - of course they'd all gone out and got plastered the night before but i say if they cant handle it then dont do it. Anyone else i know turning up for work that hungover would be told to go home. They didnt seem to have much respect for the paying punter and so it put me off them a bit. They were a bit rude to people at times and really quite arrogant. I'd give a thumbs down to the reps. The other trips we went on were OK, a massive bar crawl and a 18th century feast - although at the feast it was meant to be free beer and wine all night and they ran out of beer after about 3 hours.
The holiday did end up as a success - we met lots of really nice people and did a fair bit of clubbing. As the week wore on we took less to do with the reps and enjoyed ibiza as it should be enjoyed. It is a fantastic holiday destination for young men and women. Everyone seemed out to have fun and thats what we all did.
My advice to anyone going to ibiza would be to book it through a tour operator and not 18-30. Ibiza is a place buzzing with excitement - you dont need a club to have fun.
