I have already written a review on the Tzante hotel, which is where we stayed on our 18-30 holiday to Laganas in Zante, and I stand by what I said before: Go there. It was perfect and of all the people I know who went to Zante this summer, we were the only people to be happy with our hotel!
9 of us girls went away with Thomas Cook and paid £360 (i think) for a weeks accomodation and flights on a room only basis. Expensive, yes. We could have got it cheaper had we waited until later to book the holiday but we didnt want to risk not getting all 9 of us in together!
Nights out in Zante our great. Alcohol is expensive in many of the clubs although cheap in the liquour shops - which are all over the main clubbing strip. Make use of the free bars that you can get through the 18-30 nights and sometimes do listen to the deals advertised by the reps on the bar doors. They can get you good deals even if you only go in for the drink and then leave again!! We spoke to one guy on the door and after having already got free shots with our drinks, he then took us back inside and gave us more free shots and did some himself!! I took £350 -cant remember what that was in euros - and spent it all. I wasnt a big drinker either!
Rescues was generally where everybody ended out as it was prehaps the most reputable of the clubs. We always enjyed being in there! Cherry Bay however was the best one about and I havnt heard of anyone who didnt enjoy it yet! It stays open the latest so we always finished our nights there - along with the rest of laganas. It could be cheesy, but it was always a laugh.
We didnt decide to go on every single 18-30 trip done by the reps but we did a ndeal to do a few of them. We chose to do the bar crawl which was good due to the free bar half way through but we abandoned it after a bit due to the mass numbers of people, we'd rather do our own thing. The school disco was our first night and was quality. We opted for the "non-uniform day" look but many do get dressed up and they play games between the hotels. Definatly fun. We also chose to go to the club night - hed kandi - which had a free bar - always good - but we werent particularly impressed with the music so after the free bar we left. The floor of the club also got stuck to all our shoes - concrete that is - not a good look and cut down on pairs of shoes for the week!! We also went on the trip to another beach - cant remember its name now - but its the only one you can do water sports on. You get a barbeque and a free bar, yet even with 18-30 discount the water sports are pretty expensive!
Away from the 18-30 nights out, we were aproached by a man on a moped in the street. Not promising. But he got us to go to the Beach Party. It's run independantly and after a trip to the baywatch beach bar to get tops - which we then crafted into baywatch outfits - we headed along and had an amazing night. Yet another free bar and with staff dressed up and pouring shots straight into your mouth, you couldnt not hava a good night!!
The reps were amazing. Always about when needed, and always up for a laugh!! Suprisingly very helpfull whether they were from your hotel or not!
Generally Id advise it. It was fun. No doubt about it. Expensive fun. but I would say everyon needs at least one of these holidays in their time. Its definatly an experience.

This brings back memories. 18-30 trips to Benidorm when I was 18 and now wishing I was 30!
