WARNING! Please read if you are intending to stay at H10 Playa Meloneras Palace, GrandCanary. We booked a week break to stay at what we thought was a 5 star hotel arriving late on Saturday night we went straight to our room which looked very nice and was well placed in the hotel 5th floor and overlooking the pool. When we woke up the next morning we noticed that we were infested with tiny spider like ants all around the room, we went to the welcome meeting and informed the Holiday rep and Hotel reception they agreed to fumigate the room whilst we were out, we found a load of these dead spider/ants when we returned so we thought this would be the last of the matter. Advantages: Great resort, accomodation, entertainment, and food was not repetitive. Disadvantages: Poor security - when we went anyway - perhaps it has been improved.
I must confess tha this one will be quite hard to write about. We had an overall good holiday, when we stayed here, at Turbo Club appartments in Masplomas, Gran Canria.
However, I feel I should, get into the open what happened on our vacation. One of our rooms were broken into. And it was not just one of our rooms that got broken into. There were several other people across the resort also being broken into. The fact this could happen is obviuosly becuase of the lack of camera's and security on site.
You see the resort itself is good. For our two rooms, we had a private staircase going up to them, there were two appartments underneath aswell (on ground level). Three of us at went away for a walk to a fairly local shopping centre, while one of us stayed and had a snooze. My sisters, stayed in the room on the right at the top ...
Advantages: Quieter area but still plenty to do on site Disadvantages: the busy pool on a weekend
time, but the facilities and friendliness were nowhere close to the BahiaMeloneras Bungalows. We have booked for them for May next year to be sure of a space! ...
