Going To Club La Costa

Advantages: Washing machine
Disadvantages: There are 2 things to do - one is to eat, the other swim!

. * El Rancho * We ate here once and the food was good. There was live music and a large garden with tables, bouncy castle and child friendly play area. A few market stalls were also here one evening and regular laser clay pigeon shooting took place in the garden. Many kids had a go at shooting the clays with nice large realistic guns. * Tennis Court * As is states, well kept. * Sports Centre * Had no need to go here, but they have one. * Medical Centre * Have on site medic. Also attached to this complex is a resort called Cqalifornia Beach. This seemed like the upper class part of Club La Costa which had superb reception area, pools, restaurants and bars. We could use the bars and restaurant, but there was a dress code for the evening dinner in the restaurant. This is also where the five star apartments are kept ...

Club Atlantis, Costa Adeje, Tenerife

Advantages: Quiet and relaxing
Disadvantages: Dingy room and pool area dominated by timeshare owners

My boyfriend and I visited this hotel last summer, having gotten a bargain price through Travel Republic. I think we paid around £150 for the room for the week, which was a good price for a four star hotel in Costa Adeje, one of Tenerife's more family and couple based upmarket resorts. When we arrived it all looked fairly posistive - the reception area was clean and spacious if a little dated and the welcome we received was nice if a little brusque. This became clearly the way staff talked to guests - they bordered on rude at times in spite of our efforts to speak Spanish to them because of their limited English. There was a small shop selling standards such as bottles of water and chocolate so we got some snacks (overpriced but what you expect in a hotel) after our journey and headed off to our room. We were situated ...

Midnight Club LA

Advantages: Some realistic cars, a fun but not too serious game :)
Disadvantages: Expensive, repetitive, too realistic for those used to NFS on ps2!

I bought Midnight Club LA spur of the moment because I was disappointed with Forza 2 as its so realistic and wanted a crazy racing game like the old days of NFS underground on ps2. It took some getting used to, but its half way there. Again the game aims for realism losing the element of fun. You can't bounce off walls to get around corners on racing games these days! It took me a long time to get a feel for the controls however once I managed the game became a lot more enjoyable. Using the triggers on the back of the controller instead of buttons (X and O for ps2 owners) make controlling vehicles a lot easier as you can control your speed, but when racing I found this irritating as just holding the accelerated gets you in a mess. As a game however once you get past all this it is pretty good. Standard street racing stuff- cool looking ...
