Advantages: Fantastic rooms, friendly staff, great location Disadvantages: some of the other guests seem to think their a bit special!
I've stayed at this hotel twice now, once when i was 10 with my mum and dad and once when i was 20 with my boyfriend, both times i've had a fantastic time and the only negative thing being other guests there, but we'll get to that later in the review!
Accomodation:
The hotel has 173 rooms, this is made up of 93 standard rooms which are the cheapest and have either twin or a kingsize bed, an ensuite bathroom usually with a bath and a shower. A kettle and small sachets of tea coffe, milk etc and some very delicious biscuits! A mini bar (as with most hotels this is a little on the pricey side e.g £1.20 for a mars bar!!!!) a safe, an ironing board and hairdryer, a phone, internet access and Sky TV and the usual pre pay movies as well as pre pay games for the playstion. These rooms are mostly at the back of the hotel and look out over ...
Advantages: Great resort, accomodation, entertainment, and food was not repetitive. Disadvantages: Poor security - when we went anyway - perhaps it has been improved.
I must confess tha this one will be quite hard to write about. We had an overall good holiday, when we stayed here, at Turbo Club appartments in Masplomas, Gran Canria.
However, I feel I should, get into the open what happened on our vacation. One of our rooms were broken into. And it was not just one of our rooms that got broken into. There were several other people across the resort also being broken into. The fact this could happen is obviuosly becuase of the lack of camera's and security on site.
You see the resort itself is good. For our two rooms, we had a private staircase going up to them, there were two appartments underneath aswell (on ground level). Three of us at went away for a walk to a fairly local shopping centre, while one of us stayed and had a snooze. My sisters, stayed in the room on the right at the top ...

The De Vere Grandhotel Brighton is an impressive hotel, part of the De Vere chain of over 25 luxury hotels. The De Vere website www.devere.co.uk has lots of information on the hotel and also some special offers. It is located on the Sea Front in close proximity to all of Brighton's major attractions.
The hotel has approximately 200 rooms, ranging from singles, to doubles to doubles with sea views to deluxe doubles with seaviews to suites. Prices range from £80 for a single B & B to £250 B &B for a sea view deluxe to £530 for a suite. I stayed in a Sea view deluxe, checking in on a Saturday and leaving after lunch on the following Sunday. I ate in the hotel for breakfast and Sunday lunch.
