...WHY SRI LANKA YOU ASK? J & I had been to Sri Lanka for a holiday when we first started seeing each other. We had booked a last minute deal & stayed in a guest house . Whilst there we spent our days at the 5* Bentota Beach hotel using the pool & bar, for a small fee of £2 you can go to any hotel & use their facilities.This is a nice way of checking out the other hotels & generally being nosey.We fell in love with the place & decided then that if we went back we would stay at the hotel.One of the main things that had swung it for me was the resident elephant who was also part of the wedding ceremony. Sri Lanka or Ceylon as it was once known is an Island off the southern tip of India in the Indian Ocean .It is a ten & three quarter hour journey if flying direct.There are sometimes stopovers in the Maldives which is a wonderful place... ...Southsea is lined with hotels and guesthouses, some of the largest being the Royal Beach hotel, Holiday Inn and Queens Hotel. The Ibis Hotel and the Marriott Hotel are a short bus ride away. There is also a caravan park with both caravans and pitches available to hire. 5 Conclusion As you can probably see, there are lots of things to see and do in Portsmouth. Its a great destination for families but there are plenty of things for singles and couples and groups of friends to do too. The only thing that Portsmouth doesn't have is sand on the beach. Although Portsmouth is generally quite sunny in the summer, it is of course in Britain, so don't forget your umbrella.... Read review

...I'm not a massively well travelled individual, in fact I've only been outside of Europe on one occasion, and that was when my wife and I went to Antigua in October 2006. We stayed at the Coconut Beach Club, and thought the place was brilliant. If you're looking for a quiet place to relax and do very little, at the best price in Antigua, this is the hotel for you. The hotel is located beside Yepton Beach on the west of the island, about 20 minute's taxi from the airport in St John's (the capital of Antigua). Our package deal was with Virgin Holidays so transfers to, and from the airport were included in the price. One thing to look out for at the airport is the 'redcaps'. They are locals, wearing red caps, who 'helpfully' start loading your bags onto a trolley without your permission, the second you take them off the baggage carrousel... Read review
