Advantages: 25 mertres from the sea front Disadvantages: Could not really find any
I stayed in this hotel in April and found that it was a small friendly hotel right on the sea front in Carvoeiro, which in its self is a lovely small town.
The service was very good the staff always helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were clean and in good repair. Being only a small town it was not that noisey at night, in fact we were not disturbed at all and our room was next to the street. We only had breakfast but it was very good, hot, well cooked and had a very good selection. You can get other meals there as well, but the resturants in the town are very good aswell. The swimming pool was clean and warm even in April. This hotel is good value for money and is centrally located between porto miao and alberrfera. ...

Advantages: Location, Price, Staff Disadvantages: Not the height of luxury
all sounds good, but what are the facilities like?-
Sol Timor is an apart-hotel so if you go self catering as we do, you get the good value factor coupled with the use of all the facilities you'd expect in a hotel.
There is a restaurant and bar for those who choose all inclusive, full/half board and B&B options, although because of the multitude of local bars, cafes and restaurants, I can honestly say I've never used them sorry. The food always looks good though when I've wandered past.
For those who choose to go self catering, there is a supermarket near the main games lounge, which has everything you need including English brand items if you choose. There is also a Spar about 5 minutes walk from the hotel, which is slightly larger and cheaper. It also has the added bonus of giving you a small element of exercise to counter ...
