Colombo is located in the heart of the business centre and 32 kilometres from Bandaranaike International Airport . The hotel offers an extensive choice of business and leisure facilities.
Advantages: Very clean and plenty of variety. Disadvantages: Approximately 15 minutes outside the City Centre.
...The Colombo Shopping Centre is located on the Avenida General Norton de Matos, Benfica, Lisbon. It is accessible by both metro and bus, and just a short taxi ride from Lisbon’s city centre.
Opened in 1997, the Colombo Centre is Lisbon's newest mall, being the largest in the Iberian Peninsula. As well as a shopping centre, it also houses a leisure complex, with a multiplex cinema, health club, driving range, and bowling alley to name a few.
The shopping centre itself comprises 420 shops, including a large Marks & Spencer and a Fnac superstore selling almost everything from food to large electrical appliances – I found this store to be extremely inexpensive, especially on alcohol. The large stores are punctuated with speciality shops, selling goods such as local porcelain, jewellery, shoes, (leather items are very...

Advantages: comfortable, beach location, better value than newer 5 star hotels, good customer service. Disadvantages: overshadowed by construction of taller buildings behind the Hilton - pool area is partly shaded
...A lot can happen in a space of a few years but never more so than in Dubai; it's currently a massive construction site but in the nicest sort of way! The last time I visited Dubai in 2002, I stayed at Oasis Beach Hotel in Jumeirah. At that time the Oasis Beach hotel was the last hotel on the beach strip apart from the Hilton Hotel; the surrounding land was just barren desert. However, after my present visit in 2006 I was surprised to see there were about 200 buildings being constructed behind the Hilton Hotel! If you've read this far and are thinking it's a big no, no you'll be surprised at how much the construction doesn't really bother you.
As soon as you catch a glimpse of the white sandy beaches against the clear blue skies and hear the sound of the sea as the waves come in…you soon forget the construction, believe me you do...

Advantages: Its a Hilton thats cheap Disadvantages: Refurbishment leads to small inconviences..
...I'm quite used to a budget hotel so my friend and I were all excited to be staying in a Hilton - classy we thought we were.
It's located almost right next to the train station and close to the centre of town in a quiet area. Just around the corner are quite a few bars, which were nice and handy for us - but just far enough away to pose no problem. The hotel is also close to the M621.
You can book a room online, or call them, we booked online and it was pretty simple, just select the date and give them money! You are then emailed booking confirmation.
If you do drive the hotel has parking for up to 80 cars, available on first come first served basis at £10 a day. There is extra parking in a multi-storey car park opposite the hotel.
I arrived first and the revolving doors downstairs were broken, leading to a few...

We have just returned from a two-night stay at the (correctly-named) Avisford Park Hilton near Arundel on the south coast of England. Described by Hilton themselves as an hotel where “You can live like a Baronet. After all, it was once the home of... more
Just over a week ago I was visiting London. As usual, I tend to look for hotel deals a little out of the centre of town as it usually works out much cheaper even when you've factored in the public transport costs (I don't drive.) I am a member of the... more
